BHSU Theatre to present ‘Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean!’

The Black Hills State University theatre will present Come Back to the Five & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean this week. Jessica Juhrend, from Spearfish; Tiffany Carter, from Newcastle; and Stephanie L Schumacher from Rapid City; rehearse a scene from the production. Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Woodburn Hall Theatre and will run Thursday, Feb. 24 through Saturday, Feb 26.

The Black Hills State University theatre will present Come Back to the Five & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean this week.

The performance tales in 1975 and includes a group of women who reunite in their hometown of McCarthy, Texas, hold a twenty-year reunion of their James Dean fan club at a five-and-dime store. Twenty years prior, they were an excited bunch of high-school graduates who impatiently awaited their hero’s arrival in a nearby town to film GIANT. As the story unfolds, the friends reminisce fondly about the past but when a mysterious woman arrives a series of shocking events threatens to destroy the reunion.

Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Woodburn Hall Theatre and will run Thursday, Feb. 24 through Saturday, Feb 26.
