Theisz publishes five poems

Dr. R. D. Theisz, Black Hills State University professor and chair of the Department of Humanities, recently added five poems to his list of scholarly and creative publications.

Fire Ring Voices, the literary journal of Bemidji State University, has accepted five of Theisz’s poems for publication in 2007: ”There Are Many Last Times,” “My Father Was,” “Snowstorm Runner,” “ Almost at the Bend,” and “Crossing That Dividing Sea.” A reading and reception will be held May 4 in Bemidji, Minn.

Theisz received his M.A. in German from Middlebury College and his Ph.D. in literature from New York University. He has been a member of the BHSU faculty since 1977.
