Black Hills State University inducted three athletes, a coach, a contributor, and two teams into the Yellow Jacket Hall of Fame this year during the annual Swarm Week festivities. The individuals inducted were (left to right): Kevin Williams, Class of ’76, who was inducted for his successful coaching career; Scott Graslie, Class of ’76, recognized for his strong contributions to BHSU athletics; Lisa (Reynolds) Bomengen, Class of ’00, inducted for her athletic accomplishments in track and cross country while at BHSU; Neil Grandbouche, Class of ’79, who was inducted for his success as an athlete in track, football, and basketball; and Craig Crosswait, Class of ’81, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame for his athletic achievements in baseball and golf.
The 1980 men’s cross country team was also inducted into the Yellow Jacket Hall of Fame during Swarm Week. Team members who attended the ceremony were (left to right): Dave Little, former cross country coach, Spearfish; Carlo Mileusnich, Prescott, Ariz.; Brent Kannas, Fort Irwin, Calif; Curt Fiedler, George, Iowa; and Dean Mahaffey, Casper, Wyo.
