BHSU faculty transform lives

Black Hills State University faculty are transforming lives and making headlines with their achievements.

Sandy Klarenbeek, health educator in the College of Education at Black Hills State University, recently presented a poster session entitled Using Children and Young Adult Literature to Address Risky Behaviors and Teach Health Skills at the International Conference on Health Risks of Youth in Cancun, Mexico. Her poster session described the work she has been doing using literature to develop discussion questions, vocabulary and assessments which align with the National Health Education Standards and shared her latest publication Using Literature to Teach Health.
