Take 5 winners announced

Six Black Hills State University students were recently named the winners in the Take 5 and Win $100 Challenge. Winners include: left to right, Justus McShannon, junior pre-chiropractic major from Yankton; Jason LeFebre, sophomore education and history major from Hettinger, N.D.; and Kristen Spiel, senior biology major from Faith.

Black Hills State University recently named the winners of the Take 5 and Win $100 Challenge, which encourages BHSU students to register early for the spring 2010 semester to ensure an ideal class schedule.

The winner of the $100 scholarship was Jason LeFebre, sophomore education and history major from Hettinger, N.D., five others were chosen for $50 gift cards to the BHSU Bookstore. The recipients of the gift cards include: Francy McOwen, sophomore human services major from Rapid City; Justus McShannon, junior pre-chiropractic major from Yankton; Stephanie Matthew, junior education major from Black Hawk; Kristen Spiel, senior biology major from Faith; and Mariah Bartlett, senior speech communication major from Fruitdale.

BHSU students who registered by Dec. 5 were entered into a drawing for one of five $50 gift certificates and a $100 scholarship sponsored by BHSU Center for Academic Success, University Bookstore, and Alumni Office.
