BHSU to host chamber music performance

Black Hills State University will host a dance-related chamber music performance entitled, “Watch Your Step,” Sunday, Feb. 1 at 2:30 p.m. in the Meier Recital Hall.

The program includes a variety of short familiar classics by Bach, Brahms, Grieg, Mussorgsky, Ravel, and Stravinsky.

Performers include Dr. Janeen Larsen, professor of music and chair of the College of Arts and Sciences, on piano; Elizabeth Benusis, principal cellist for the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra, cello; Coral White, Symphony String Quartet member, violin.  There will be a special guest performance by the Academy of Dance.

The group will also be performing in Rapid City on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church.  Both performances are open to the public and free of charge.  Donations are accepted to benefit BHSU music scholarships.
