Black Hills State University theatre will kick off its 2013-2014 season with a production of `Mauritius, a comic drama with mysterious overtones, on October 10, 11, and 12 at 7:30 pm in Woodburn auditorium. Written by Theresa Rebeck, the well-known television writer who created the hit series SMASH, and has written episodes for numerous popular crime shows, the play focuses on the discovery of two of the most valuable stamps in the world. If they are real, characters find themselves willing to lie, cheat, betray, and perhaps do even worse to possess them. But what if they are forgeries? How can anyone tell? Who can anyone trust? The intriguing drama is directed by Dr. Pamela Wegner, with set and lighting design by Albert Juhrend. It stars BHSU veteran actors Hannah Kloiber, Tyler Steffens, and Nicolas Nettle, as well as newcomers Kassi Blue and Joe Geyer.
