Description:
Learn bicycle safety from a certified League Cycling Instructor (LCI) Saturday, May 19th running from 8:00am - 5:30pm at the Spearfish Rec Center. The Smart Cycling Class is a free event that will provide the tips, tools, and techniques to boost your confidence and help you feel safe on the road. Topics covered include safe road sharing practices for both cyclists and drivers, riding tips such as scanning for traffic and proper signaling, basic bicycle maintenance, and local traffic laws. Participants must bring a bicycle, helmet, sunglasses, water, and lunch. One participant will go home with a “new” refurbished bicycle cruiser! Registration is required. The class is open to anyone 16 and older.
