The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity received a donation from the Kay S. Jorgensen Donor Advised Fund of the Black Hills Area Community Foundation. This donation supports the SD CEO Women&rsquos Business Center&rsquos mission of providing comprehensive training, education, and business assistance, support, and counseling for aspiring and established entrepreneurs. The SD CEO is located on the campus of Black Hills State University, provides services statewide and is the only women&rsquos business center in South Dakota, partially funded by the Small Business Administration.

During her presentation, Jorgensen encouraged the community to continue supporting the SD CEO Women&rsquos Business Center and its mission to foster economic development in South Dakota. She stated, "Having attended several of the SD CEO sponsored educational events and seminars, as well as serving on the SD CEO Advisory Board, has given me firsthand knowledge of the need for this Center to support aspiring and entrepreneurs, and all women in the business community."

The Black Hills Area Community Foundation was started in 1987 to improve the quality of life in the Black Hills through the power of philanthropy. They work with nonprofit organizations to identify the areas of greatest need in our community, assist donors to reach their philanthropic goals, and raise and distribute charitable funds that have a positive impact for the people here.
