Campbell County high school seniors see their names in lights

           The names of Campbell County High School Senior Honor Roll students are featured on digital billboards throughout Gillette as part of a new campaign by Black Hills State University to recognize these students for their academic accomplishments.  

       

       

            

       

       

           The Black Hills State University campus in Spearfish, S.D., is home to nearly 400 students from Wyoming. Located just 8 miles from the eastern Wyoming border, BHSU offers in-state tuition to new freshmen and transfers from its neighboring state.

       

   



A new ad campaign from Black Hills State University is putting the spotlight on Campbell County High School Senior Honor Roll students.



The campaign recognizes high-achieving students and lets them know that BHSU offers in-state tuition to Wyoming students, according to Corinne Hansen, Director of University and Community Relations at BHSU.



"We really just wanted to congratulate these seniors on their accomplishments," Hansen said. "It&rsquos great to see so many students succeed academically."



As a part of the campaign launch, BHSU is asking Campbell County students to share photos of their names on the big screens or post a photo of them with their BHSU acceptance letter. A BHSU sweatshirt will be awarded to five randomly selected students who #BHSUinGillette in their Instagram post to @BHSUAdmissions.



"If you haven&rsquot seen your name yet, keep watching the sign for daily updates," Hansen said.



Located in Spearfish, S.D., just 8 miles from the Wyoming border, BHSU has strong ties to the state on its western border. More than 8 percent, nearly 400, of BHSU&rsquos students claim Wyoming as their home state.



As the only comprehensive public university in the region, BHSU instituted the Border Bonus in 2013 to better serve its Wyoming students.



The program offers in-state tuition to Wyoming students, including new freshmen and transfers.
