Two Black Hills State University faculty and staff will feature unique artwork in the All My Plastic Peoples 3 exhibit at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City.

Desy Schoenewies, assistant professor of art, and Adam Roosa, video and social media specialist, entered plastic, toy art into the exhibit. They were given a blank, seven-inch vinyl toy as a canvas for their creations. Artists were able to paint their figurines and add other elements such as hair, clothing and other accessories to create a one-of-a-kind toy.

The exhibit is an art show and silent auction from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Saturday, June 27 in the John T. Vucurevich Event Center at the Dahl Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public with the proceeds benefitting the Rapid City Arts Council&rsquos Arts Education Program.

This year&rsquos art show and auction will feature nearly 40 toys. The public will be able to vote for their favorite at the event. Voting ballots cost $1 each. A People&rsquos Choice award will be given to the toy that receives the most votes. A Curator&rsquos Choice award also will be awarded.
