BHSU Student Vet Center to host grand re-opening

The Black Hills State University Student Veteran Center will hold a grand re-opening from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sept. 24 in the BHSU David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union, lower level.

The on-campus student veteran facility was recently remodeled thanks to a $75,000 Veteran Services Higher Education Grant from the South Dakota Governor&rsquos Office. The Student Veteran Center provides space for student vets to socialize with other student vets, study in between classes, or hold meetings.

The program will begin at 1:30 p.m. Speakers will include BHSU President Tom Jackson, Jr., Dr. Rod Custer, provost at BHSU, Capt. David Dodson, veterans resource coordinator at BHSU, and Dr. Priscilla Romkema, dean of the College of Business and Natural Sciences.

The grand re-opening is open to BHSU staff, faculty and students and the community.
