BLACK HILLS STATE UNIVERSITY TO HOST CIVICS DAY

Black Hills State University will be presenting its first Civics Day Sept. 15 to celebrate the upcoming Constitution Day.

The event is free and open to the public. The evening will feature a keynote address at 7:30 p.m. at The Joy Center from Representative Scott Odenbach, “Restoring the Constitutional Republic: How to End the Zero Sum Game of Politics”. 

In commemoration of Civics Day, voter registration will be taking place on campus from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the student union.

Event organizer Professor Nick Drummond, acting chair of Mathematics and Social Sciences at BHSU, stated, “We gather to venerate the Constitution and honor our duty to posterity.”
