The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) will be offering "InDesign Basics", a hands on workshop Thursday, Jan. 5 at Black Hills State University-Rapid City. Participants will learn the basics of Adobe InDesign workspace and learn how to make professional designs for personal and commercial use.
The day-long workshop will be instructed by Dustin Hinson, Assistant Professor of Mass Communications at BHSU. "Adobe InDesign is a great way for you to create engaging and professional page layouts for print and digital media with its built-in creative tools and precise control over typography," says Hinson.
During this workshop, participants will get a hands on experience creating and saving documents, using the type tool, importing graphics, using frames, formatting and selecting objects, exporting designs to a PDF and working with color swatches.
