Description: Open to Students. The Student Engagement and Leadership Center is hosting its first Arts and Culture Weekend, February 15th-17th, 2019 in Denver, CO. To register, please complete this form entirely: . You will receive an email copy of the form submission if it successfully submits. In order to reserve a spot, you must pay the registration fee ($100) in the SELC (SU 210). We accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and buzzbucks.

Once we have your form and your registration fee, you will receive a confirmation email. Your registration fee covers transportation, accommodation, breakfast, and the Denver City Pass. You are responsible for additional costs like lunches, dinners, and any optional/unplanned activities. The tentative weekend schedule is below. Students will stay in a room with three other students, so if you have roommate preferences, please list them on the form.

Saturday, February 15th, 2019:

6:00 AM: Leave BHSU Library Circle (Please bring breakfast)
Lunch on the way
2:00 PM: Denver Botanical Gardens (entrance is covered by the Denver City Pass)
4:30 PM: Hotel Check-In
6:00 PM: Optional Activity: Dave & Busters (Dinner Available)- Sportsbar style adult arcade

Sunday, February 16th, 2019:

8:30 AM: Breakfast (Covered at the hotel)
10:00 AM: Denver Art Museum (entrance is covered by the Denver City Pass)
12:30 PM: Lunch at Avanti F&B- A Collective Eatery
2:00 PM: Denver Museum of Nature & Science (entrance is covered by the Denver City Pass)
7:00 PM: Optional Activity: Top Golf (Dinner Available)- High-tech driving range with entertainment lounge, drinks, and games

Monday, February 17th, 2019:

8:30 AM: Breakfast (Covered at the hotel)
10:00 AM: Leave for BHSU

BHSU accounting majors assist community members with tax preparation

Each spring, Black Hills State University hosts the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic for individuals needing assistance with their tax returns. BHSU offers an Advanced Income Tax course which allows students to become certified by the IRS to work as tax preparers in the clinic. The clinic opened earlier this month and continues until Saturday, April 4.

$10,000 scholarships to BHSU available to high school seniors

High school seniors who attend Black Hills State University may be eligible for $10,000 scholarships, thanks to a donation by T. Denny Sanford to the Horatio Alger Association Endowment. Fifteen scholarships of $10,000 each are dedicated to incoming students at BHSU. The Denny Sanford Scholarship application is open until March 15 at:
