We had so many responses for the BHSU Love Stories shared on social media last week, thank you to everyone who submitted. We are happy to be home to so many families and the beginning to many journeys. Here are more BHSU Love Stories we wanted to share with you!
Each spring, Black Hills State University hosts the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic for individuals needing assistance with their tax returns. BHSU offers an Advanced Income Tax course which allows students to become certified by the IRS to work as tax preparers in the clinic. The clinic opened earlier this month and continues until Saturday, April 4.
The Black Hills State University Music and Theatre Departments have a variety of entertaining performances set for the spring semester. Performances will include several senior recitals, plays, workshops, and more. All events are located in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall and are free to community and students, unless noted.
High school seniors who attend Black Hills State University may be eligible for $10,000 scholarships, thanks to a donation by T. Denny Sanford to the Horatio Alger Association Endowment. Fifteen scholarships of $10,000 each are dedicated to incoming students at BHSU. Black Hills State University is rallying 18,000 alumni and supporters around the first-ever Giving Day in school history. Thursday, Feb. 27, marks the 137th anniversary of the university’s founding and officials say there is no better way to celebrate than contributing to scholarships for future Yellow Jackets.
