Description: This performance will allow audience members to experience the bright and colorful percussion instruments of Balinese gamelan as well as authentic Balinese dance forms. Guest artist and master musician I Made Lasmawan will lead an ensemble of about twelve local musicians, all in full Balinese costume. Master dancer Ni Ketut Marni will perform solo and group dances, assisted by local participants from an afternoon workshop.

BHSU accounting majors assist community members with tax preparation

Each spring, Black Hills State University hosts the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic for individuals needing assistance with their tax returns. BHSU offers an Advanced Income Tax course which allows students to become certified by the IRS to work as tax preparers in the clinic. The clinic opened earlier this month and continues until Saturday, April 4.

$10,000 scholarships to BHSU available to high school seniors

High school seniors who attend Black Hills State University may be eligible for $10,000 scholarships, thanks to a donation by T. Denny Sanford to the Horatio Alger Association Endowment. Fifteen scholarships of $10,000 each are dedicated to incoming students at BHSU. The Denny Sanford Scholarship application is open until March 15 at: https://app.smarterselect.com/programs/59963-Horatio-Alger-Association
