BHSU celebrates extension of AACSB business program accreditation

Black Hills State University students, faculty, staff, and community members celebrated the extension of the University’s business program accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

In the photo (right), Dr. Greg Farley, dean of the College of Business and Natural Sciences at BHSU, welcomes Dr. Priscilla Romkema, former dean, back to campus for the celebration. Romkema was instrumental in achieving the initial accreditation for the School of Business in 2014, placing BHSU among the top 5 percent of business schools worldwide. Once achieved, schools must undergo a continuous improvement review every five years to ensure they are evolving and excelling over time.  Farley noted that it is an honor for BHSU to earn the extension and noted that accreditation leads to higher levels of student success.
