BHSU will have a presence at Rapid City Thursday Nights Aug. 3
Black Hills State University-Rapid City staff and supporters will ride the BH Party Pedaler 11-seat bike through Downtown Rapid City Thursday, Aug. 3. Riders will make stops during Rapid City Summer Nights and the Main Street Square Summer Concert Series to distribute BHSU swag and to provide information about the more than 25 degrees offered at BHSU-Rapid City.
Community members will notice a special attraction while enjoying Rapid City Summer Nights and the Main Street Square Summer Concert Series Thursday, Aug. 3. Black Hills State University will board the Black Hills Party Pedaler's 11-seat bike to showcase the University's presence in Rapid City.
"We offer more than 20 degrees at the BHSU-Rapid City location," said Gene Bilodeau, executive director of BHSU-Rapid City. "If you want to start or finish your degree, earn an associate's degree, complete a professional certificate, or enroll in college classes while still in high school, BHSU-Rapid City is the place to get started."
The evening of Aug. 3, concert-goers are encouraged to watch for the BHSU staff members on the unique bike through the streets of downtown Rapid City. Pedalers will hand out BHSU-Rapid City information and giveaways. The bike, and business, is owned by BHSU grads who are looking forward to the opportunity to showcase their alma mater.
"We're looking forward to seeing our alumni, supporters, and future students Downtown Aug. 3," said Bilodeau.
BHSU-Rapid City is located at 4300 Cheyenne Blvd. on the east-side of Rapid City with easy access from I-90. The University is committed to serving veterans, has a large network of alumni living in the City, and has a business program in the top five percent of business schools worldwide.
Plans are currently underway to pursue offering a paralegal degree at BHSU-Rapid City. In spring 2018, BHSU-Rapid City will debut a new block schedule providing students a new and unique way to take classes.
BHSU-Rapid City continues to collaborate with South Dakota Board of Regents institutions to provide a variety of degree options to students. The public is also invited to observe classes through a $100 Visitor Pass program where community members can learn from BHSU-Rapid City instructors.
