Bridging generations workshop to be held at BHSU

The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) and Career Service Advisory (CSA) Council at Black Hills State University, in partnership with Leah Braun of Harney Business Group, will host a workshop, "Bridging Generations," to be held at Black Hills State University Wed., March 11 from 9-11 a.m. at the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union, Jacket Legacy Room.  

At this workshop, participants can: expect to gain a perspective of different generations learn motivations and needs of different age groups learn to communicate and problem-solve across the generations and learn about mentorship of young employees. "Generational differences can be contentious but they don't have to be," says Braun, "understanding and respecting one another, regardless of age, will benefit you and your workplace."  

Braun is the principal of Harney Business Group, which provides powerful, customized consulting, training and coaching to small and medium sized businesses, organizations, and individuals to help them reach the next level. She retired at the rank of Master Sergeant after 22 years of military service, where she began to hone her passion for working with people and helping groups get to the next level. Braun has a teaching degree and a master&rsquos of science in administrative studies with an emphasis in counseling. She is a Certified Professional Coach, credentialed through the International Coach Federation.
