BHSU showcases women in military with exhibit

Black Hills State University currently is hosting a military uniform exhibit in celebration of Women&rsquos History Month.

The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, is touring state universities in March to celebrate the contributions of women in the U.S. Armed Forces. The exhibit is at BHSU today through Wednesday, March 4 in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union. It is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Members of the South Dakota National Guard will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day during the exhibit to speak about the service of women in the military.

The traveling display features time-period uniform displays of women of various uniformed services. The exhibit is free and open to the public. The displays will include descriptions of the garments and the women who wore them.

&middot March 5-6, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., South Dakota School of Mines &amp Technology, Surbeck Center, Rapid City

&middot March 8-13, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Camp Rapid, Joint Force Headquarters, Bldg. 420, Rapid City

&middot March 16-20, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., University of South Dakota &ndash Muenster University Center, Vermillion

&middot March 23-27, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., South Dakota State University, Student Union, Brookings

&middot March 30-April 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., South Dakota National Guard Museum, Pierre
