Black Hills State University music department announces lineup for the upcoming Edsall Performing Artist Series

           Soloist Dr. Bob Jones kicks off the 2014-2015 Edsall Performing Artist series next week accompanied by pianist Dr. Tyler Wootrich and featuring soloist Dr. Nancy Roberts, associate professor of voice at BHSU.

The Black Hills State University Music Department 2014-2015 Edsall Performing Artist Series will present two upcoming concerts.

The first, on Thursday, Oct. 2, features Dr. Bob Jones performing songs of French composer Maurice Ravel. Dr. Jones, a professor of voice at North Dakota State University, will be accompanied by pianist Dr. Tyler Wottrich. Dr. Nancy Roberts, associate professor of voice at BHSU will be a featured guest on the program. This concert is at 7:30 p.m. in Meier Recital Hall on the BHSU campus. This is Dr. Jones&rsquo second appearance at BHSU.

On Oct. 5 at 2:30 p.m., Chicago-based pianist Mark Valenti will present a concert featuring a wide variety of music by Claude Debussy, J. S. Bach, Bela Bartok, and Felix Mendelssohn. Mr. Valenti has a wide range of experience in both classical and jazz styles and has performed around the world.

Tickets for each concert are $5 (free for BHSU faculty, staff, and students).
