Where is the Writing Center?

The Black Hills State University Writing Center is located on the first floor of the E. Y. Berry Library.  The Writing Center is open Monday through Thursday 10:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 and Friday 10:00-3:00.

How to make an appointment:

Walk-ins at our library location are welcome, but making an appointment is suggested.  You can drop by and sign up for a time that works for you or call and set up an appointment at 642-6922.

We also offer online assistance. Simple questions for our writing consultants can be answered by clicking on the "Live Chat" icon at the bottom of any of our web pages. Select "Writing Center" in the department drop-down menu.

For students who are not able to visit us in person, making an online appointment is recommended. Click on the WebWrite icon below to view details on our online consultation service!
