The Westcore facility has undergone proficiency testing with the US Fish and Wildlife Service National Wildlife Forensics Lab to perform wildlife forensics for the application of law enforcement.

These services are provided for a fee, and are designed to enhance the local economy and conservation efforts.

A strong effort has been made by Westcore to provide resources to local producers in an effort to educate and inform them of genetics-based management strategies.
