Speaker Biography

Dee Dee Raap

Dee Dee Raap is an author, motivational speaker and customer service expert with 25 years of experience working in media, travel, banking and marketing. Dee Dee founded JourneyWorks, a speaking and business consulting firm, in 1996, and since then, has spoken to audiences across America and in Canada on service, leadership, life balance and values. 

Dee Dee’s passion is helping people find and live the values that help them excel personally and professionally—what she calls “Making the Journey Great.” She is passionate about helping organizations create values-based cultures that build loyalty with customers and employees.  She is the author of JourneyWords: 52 Strategies to Achieve Great Service; Dear Mom: Remembering, Celebrating, Healing; Find Your Pink Flamingos; and her brand new Dear Mom Journal.  She blogs on service leadership and offers free ezines and ebooks via her web site, www.DeeDeeRaap.com.

Dee Dee is a Distinguished Toastmaster and a member of the National Speakers Association.  She has served on boards for non-profit organizations, including two libraries, a symphony, chamber, United Way and Special Olympics.  Her biggest accomplishment?  Being a mom and being called “Gumma” by the world’s two greatest grandkids.  She grew up on a farm in northeastern South Dakota and now lives in Sioux Falls.
