I am currently a junior here with a major in Math Education and am going to graduate in May 2012 (one year away already). From there I will hopefully be going to Bozeman, MT for a graduate degree in Economics. I have always loved learning and attending school and so furthering my education seems the ideal choice. After which I will teach others to help further their knowledge. Through my involvement with my church's youth group, I found that I connect really well with high schoolers. Thus teaching them is the clear choice. I also recently became a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters in which I am paired with a high school girl. I just love high schoolers!
As a child I grew up with a father in the military. I was born in Las Vegas (what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas). I lived overseas for 9 years in Italy, the Azores (it's real, look it up), and Korea. I then moved here to SD in 2003. My dad served in the Air Force for 26.5 years and retired in July 2007. My mom is from Korea and they met and married in Korea. My mom is a very brave person to leave her homeland and family and learn English and adapt to America. She hardly visits home and she is one of the most courageous people I know. My dad grew up on a farm in Wisconsin and often tells my brother and I that we should live on a farm for a while and learn what hard work really is.....yeah right....My dad is a tough man and made sure I grew up to independent and willing to work.
My brother is a senior in high school and is planning on attending the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. Crazy! I can't believe he's ready for college and what's more, a big city!
