SccibbleMaps is the quick and easy way to rapidly create and share maps within your classroom  With Scribble Maps you can draw shapes and Scribble- use Pace Markers and text - Create a Custom Widget- Save as KML/GPX- Send maps to friends.  This is very interactive and does work similarly to Google Earth.
