Student Tech Application

NCS hires student staff to work as a Computer Technician Trainee, Computer Technician, or a Senior Computer Technician.

Computer Technician Trainee
To be hired as a Computer Technician Trainee, you should have a basic knowledge of computer operation and be willing to broaden your current knowledge and skill through on-the-job training and some classroom training.

Some duties of a Computer Technician Trainee include: installs, relocates, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on computers, peripherals, and associated equipment; installs, configures, tests, upgrades, and troubleshoots network client software and hardware; and installs and configures purchased applications software with supervision. You must possess basic knowledge of any of the applicable operating systems (Windows XP, Windows Vista, and/or Windows 7).
Computer Technician
To be hired as a Computer Technician, you must have a minimum required experience of one (1) year, although this may be waived for proficiency.

Some duties of a Computer Technician include: installs, relocates, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on computers, peripherals, and associated equipment; and installs, configures, tests, upgrades, and troubleshoots network client software and hardware; and installs and configures purchased applications software with limited supervision. You must be familiar with all applicable operating systems (Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7).
Senior Computer Technician
To be hired as a Senior Computer Technician you must have a minimum required experience of two (2) years, although this may be waived for proficiency.

Some duties of a Senior Computer Technician include: installs, relocates, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on computers, peripherals, and associated equipment; and installs, configures, tests, upgrades, and troubleshoots network client software and hardware; configures purchased applications software with minimal supervision. You must be proficient with all applicable operating systems (Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7) and be able to provide direction and instruction to less experienced personnel.
