Past, Present, Future...

Softball 8th grade yearGrowing up...

I grew up in a family of four with only one older sister. My family has always lived in Spearfish since I was born. I was always an active child who was involved in many activities. I played soccer, softball, volleyball, tennis, basketball, and ran track.  In high school I narrowed this list down to three; volleyball, basketball, and softball.  In addition to sports, I was involved in the National Honors Society, volunteering at the Special Olympics and Relay for Life, Class Representative of Fellowship for Christian Athletes, and volunteering at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

College Life...

As I transitioned from high school to college I continued my active and busy schedule. I am involved in intramural sports, teaching Confirmation and teaching at LifeTeen, teaching 5-7 year olds Mexico Mission Tripat St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Teammates (a program where college students mentor grade school students), and Vice-President at St. Joseph's Newman Center. I began getting involved at St. Joseph's Catholic Newman Center as a Freshmen when I was elected President. I served as President for three years and am now the Vice-President. St Joseph's Newman Center offers college students a "home away from home" and has opportunities for students to meet others through bible studies, prayer, home-cooked meals, Superbowl Parties and many other activities. Finally, I am also an 8th grade volleyball coach for Spearfish Middle School. I have been coaching at SMS for 3 years and have loved every minute of it!

Future...

As I look toward the future, I see so many opportunities and adventures. I know my time at Black Hills State University has prepared me to take these opportunities and prosper.
