My name is Daniel Andrus. I am a freshmen here at at Black Hills State University and work in the Educational Outreach department in Woodburn Hall. I like my job; great bosses, awesome co-workers, and exciting work. My hometown is La Crescenta, California. I have lived there my entire life up until last June when we moved up here to beautiful Spearfish, South Dakota.

I first got interested in video editing several years ago when my and some friends would make little home-made videos, edit them, and laugh like crazy when we watched them and showed them to family. The next step was when I was hired by the local town council to record their 2-5 hour meetings, edit the hours of video, and the produce in into a DVD to be aired every Wednesday night on a local cable network, courtesy of Charter Communications. FInally, when we came up here, I joined the STFs and our first project was with Adobe Premier. :)

Part of our job involves Second Life, and my experience with computers, programming, and gaming help a lot. I started with video games when I was little and am still on the gaming scene with Team Fortress 2, Half-Life, and Cross Fire. So if you see me in-game, give me a shout!

I have had quite a bit of experience with web design, CSS, and HTML. (Not so much with JavaScript or MySQL, but I hope to learn more about those in the future.) I hope I can use these talents in my future, and even utilize them here as an STF. Check out the portfolio pages to see the work I have done.

My major is currently "Undecided," but that is because BHSU does not offer Computer Science majors. But I have heard rumors that CS majors are coming soon, and if this is true, I plan to graduate from BHSU. I hope to continue to work with the STFs until I graduate.
