Ms. Marcus (Northern Cheyenne) graduated from Black Hills State University in 1999 with a Bachelors of Science in English with a Secondary Education Endorsement. She will complete her BHSU Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction in May 2007.
She has been assisting with the Preliminary Study: Role of Health Beliefs in Health Care Utilization Patterns of American Indians for the American Indian Health Research Program since January 2007. Along with assisting with the American Indian Health Research Program, she is Assistant Director of the Center for American Indian Studies and an Admissions Representative at BHSU. From 2005-2006 she was the Projects Coordinator for Native Educational Endeavors at BHSU and she also served as the Academic Coordinator for BHSU’s Upward Bound program for four years. Prior to Upward Bound, she worked in Bozeman, MT for A.W.A.R.E., Inc., a mental health and disability service provider as a Treatment Service Technician.
