Jake Melson

Jake Melson, B.S.

Mr. Melson began working as a Research Assistant for the American Indian Health Research Program in September 2005. In May 2006, he received his Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology and Human Services from Black Hills State University. Upon graduation Jake began working full-time as a Researcher I, and works specifically on a CDC FAS project, the NIH Cultural Resilience Project, and an RWJ Diabetes project. He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Administrative Studies with an emphasis in Criminal Justice through the University of South Dakota. While working on his undergraduate degree, Jake was a mentor for two years at West Elementary in Spearfish. He has also interned as a rock and rope climbing specialist and camp counselor in Pennsylvania for a summer.
