Dr. Victoria Grey Owl

 

Victoria Grey Owl, R.D., Ph.D.

Researcher

Dr. Grey Owl received her Ph.D in Nutrition Science from the University of Illinois. She has received the National Individual Service Award from the National Cancer Institute Fellowship for Breast Cancer. She is also a Registered Dietician and a member of the American Dietetic Association.  Her previous positions include lecturer for the Native American Education Support College, Coordinator for Recruitment and Outreach, and Physician Assistant Instructor for Malcom X College. Her current research roles include serving as Principal Investigator for the study, Weighty Decisions in Managing Diabetes study with the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe, funded by the Wellmark Foundation, Co-Evaluator for the RWJ-funded study, Building Community Supports for American Indian People with Diabetes, Principal Investigator for the Study of Health Promotion for American Indian Women with the Fort Peck and Crow Tribes, and Co-Investigator for the NIH/NCMHD Community Outreach Childhood Obesity Prevention study.
