Autumn along the Belle Fourche River
Outdoor Workshop

This river walk will explore some of the unparalleled beauty of a prairie river and one of its better examples, the Belle Fourche.

Beginning at the Devil’s Tower National Monument, we will concentrate on the river’s great variety of landscape opportunities including red bluffs, autumn cottonwoods and grasslands vistas.

Activity Level
Low to Moderate.  Hiking along relatively flat terrain for approx. ½ to ¾ of a mile are expected.

Things to know
Participants are responsible for National Park entry fees into the Monument.  The standard daily use fee is $10 per vehicle. Annual and senior park passes are also accepted.  This workshop is about 45 minutes from BHSU at Devil's Tower National Monument.

What to bring
A wide-angle lens and a dependable tripod are absolute necessities, but you’ll also find some use with a medium range zoom lens like an 80-200 or a bit shorter. And don’t forget a polarizer to enhance those great prairie skies.
