Join Marty DeWitt for a photo excursion to the Historic D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery in Spearfish. With its historic buildings, unique architecture, flower gardens, fall colors and other scenic elements, this site offers many opportunities for folks interested in close-up and macro photography. Marty will discuss the basics of macro lighting, depth of field, macro focus and work with you to improve your macro skills.

The D.C Booth FIsh Hatchery. The Hatchery sits next to the Spearfish City park near downtown Spearfish.
Things to bring.
A macro lens or any closeup equipment would be useful for this session. A good tripod and head will also be of benefit. Many lenses will be useful for this exercise.
