Deadline is Thursday at 8 a.m. Welcome to Black Hills State University - TopJoan Jackson, secretary, College of Business and Technology Tickets available for faculty and staff picnic - TopThe BHSU faculty and staff picnic will be Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 5 p.m. at the Spearfish City Park. Tickets are available at a cost of $6 at the business office cashier's window. Menu includes rainbow trout, baked potato, cole slaw, dinner rolls, dessert, coffee and lemonade. For additional information contact the institutional advancement office at 642-6446. Faculty photos scheduled - TopFaculty members are reminded that the media relations office will be taking individual faculty photos during faculty inservice. Faculty who haven't had a photo taken recently should plan to have their photograph taken to update their photo file. Individual photos will be taken Thursday, Aug. 26 from 1:30-3 p.m. in Jonas 307. Faculty inservice is Aug. 23-27. See the inservice schedule. Make plans for Summer Craze new student days - TopAugust is here and offices across campus are gearing up for a new school year. New students will be arriving on campus Friday, Aug. 27 for the start of the 1999 New Student Days program. The theme for this year's program is New Student Days: Summer Craze '99. Faculty and staff members are being asked to join the orientation committee in welcoming new students to Black Hills State University. Decorating your office in a summer theme (beach balls, umbrellas, suns, flamingos, etc) is one way to participate. New students and their parents will be invited to stop in offices across campus to get last minute information and questions answered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. If you see an event you would like to participate in, please call the Student Assistance Center at 6259 for more information. Thanks for helping to make Summer Craze '99 a success! Grants opportunities announced - TopBelow are the program materials received Aug. 12-18 in the grants office, 220 Woodburn. For copies of the information, contact our office at 642-6627 or e-mail requests. Fellowship information will also be posted on the Student Union bulletin board near the information desk.
