The 70th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally recovered somewhat in number of visitors, although it didn’t approach the record-setting 65th Rally. However, all numbers in Sturgis pointed to a recovery for the Sturgis Rally. The weather was sunny and fine and it was a great Rally. Here’s to the 71st being just as good!

Thanks to all our guests for staying with us. We are eager to welcome you back in the future. A special thank you to the guests who tracked me down during the 70th Rally to say hello and to introduce themselves. It’s wonderful to put a face to the names and voices I recognize from past rallies. I’m usually running around, making sure everything goes smoothly for your stay with us, but I’m always happy to stop and chat for a few minutes. Feel free to ask for me or to catch me in the halls!

In other notes, the City of Sturgis and their Rally Department conducted a survey of rally-goers last year and we’ve included some of their findings elsewhere in this newsletter. It’s very interesting reading! We’ve also included some information regarding our own rally-goers, just for
comparison.

Dates and rates for next year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally are listed in the enclosed brochure. We’ve had several calls requesting reservations already (we don’t accept any reservations until we’ve mailed this information to our former guests), so make your reservation early for your favorite rooms. If you have any special needs, as always, please let me know – we do our best to accommodate you!
