The Kevin Whirlwind Horse Memorial Scholarship has been awarded annually since 1984 to honor the memory of Kevin Whirlwind Horse, a former BHSU student who was killed in an automobile accident. Kevin was a political science major and was very active in campus activities and organizations.
- Students eligible to receive this scholarship will be Native American sophomores who:
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, and
- Are active in Campus organizations and activities
One student will be selected to receive a $500 award, which will be applied to his/her fall semester expenses. Applications are due April 9 to Tim Collins in the Young Center. Recipient will be announced at the annual Kevin Whirlwind Horse Memorial Scholarship Run/Walk on April 14, 2012. For more information, call (605) 642-6294.
