  • Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE): Learn More About the BCSSE The BCSSE, pronounced "bessie," measures entering first-year students' pre-college academic and co-curricular experiences, as well as their interest in and expectations for participating in purposeful activities during college. Data from BCSSE can help BHSU assess the impact of student programs and services on the entire undergraduate experience and learn more about its students.  The BCSSE is administered early in the first semester. Using Your BCSSE Advising Report

  • NATIONAL ACADEMIC ADVISING ASSOCIATION: To enhance the educational development of students, NACADA promotes and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education.  NACADA provides a forum for discussion, debate, and the exchange of ideas pertaining to academic advising through numerous activities and professional publications. NACADA also serves as an advocate for effective academic advising by providing a Consultants Bureau, an Awards Program, and funding for Research related to academic advising.
