A hold or restriction is an administrative action placed on your student record to get your attention by preventing you from receiving transcripts, registering for or dropping classes, or receiving grades. The hold can be the result of a financial obligation such as a parking ticket or an administrative obligation such as having not completed all of your general education courses or it can be a mandatory advising hold.
On WebAdvisor under “My Restrictions”, determine the type of hold that you have and contact the appropriate office. Once you taken the proper steps to resolve the hold you can meet with your advisor and register.
What is a Mandatory Advising Hold. If you have earned less than 60 credit hours it is required that you meet with your advisor BEFORE registering and a CADV HOLD will show up on WebAdvisor under “My Restrictions”. Make an appointment with your advisor listed on WebAdvisor under " My Profile" in the "Academic Profile" section.
