Mandatory Advising: Required for students with less than 60 credit.

Mandatory Advising:

Now is the time to register for your summer and fall classes. Plan to meet your advisor before you leave for the semester, especially if you have fewer than 60 credit hours, as you are required to meet with your advisor BEFORE you can register. Review the questions below to learn more about Mandatory Advising.

Who is required to contact an advisor before being able to register for classes?

Any degree-seeking student with fewer than 60 completed credit hours is required to contact an advisor before registering for classes. Remember that many times your advisor has connections that could lead to your future career.  It is a good idea to work with your advisor for your entire college career.

UCRCKatie Pavel is the general academic advisor at the UCRC and will be listed as the secondary advisor for all students who are designated as UCRC students. She can assist with registration and can answer general education questions. As students complete coursework within their required major, they should contact their primary advisor for information regarding their program, internship opportunities, and career development. Undeclared majors can meet with Katie; once they declare a major, they will have a faculty advisor assigned to them.
