The goal of the UBM activity is to enhance undergraduate education and training at the intersection of the biological and mathematical sciences and to better prepare undergraduate biology or mathematics students to pursue graduate study and careers in fields that integrate the mathematical and biological sciences.
The Instrumentation and Facilities Program in the Division of Earth Sciences (EAR/IF) supports meritorious requests within and across Earth science disciplines.
Discovery Research K-12 funds research, development, and evaluation activities through knowledge generation and application to improve K-12 learning and teaching.
The program invests in projects that develop and implement informal learning experiences designed to increase interest, engagement, and understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by individuals of all ages and backgrounds, as well as projects that advance knowledge and practice of informal science education.
The 2007 HP Technology for Teaching Grant Initiative provides a $19,000 cash grant as well as computer equipment to awardees.
The Faculty Research Committee will accept proposals for consideration at their next meeting through Wednesday, Jan. 24.
Proposals for Instructional Improvement Committee funding are being accepted through Wednesday, Jan. 24 for review at the next committee meeting.
