NASA South Dakota space grant available

The announcement for the student Fellowship/Scholarship Stipend Program sponsored by the NASA SD Space Grant Consortium is now posted online at the following website.  Please distribute this to the students at your college as soon as possible.  Under this announcement, undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at SD institutions of higher education may apply for stipends for Fall ¹08, Spring ¹09, and/or Summer ¹09.  The application deadline is 4:00 p.m. October 3, 2008.  Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

Last year, awards were made to 40 students.  The range for individual stipend amounts is approximately $1,000 to $7,500 as described on page 1 of the announcement.  An explanation of the Fellowship/Scholarship Stipend Program and the application instructions are included in the announcement at the website above.
