Employee Scholar program announced with $100 cost scholarship and release time
BHSU employees are invited to participate in the newly established BHSU Employee Scholar program for professional and personal development. BHSU employees will be granted release time and a $100 scholarship for a BHSU class.
Employees should check WebAdvisor to review class offerings and discuss plans with their supervisor. Employees may choose to attend a class in Spearfish, at BHSU-Rapid City, or online. Full and part-time employees (not student employees) are eligible for the Employee Scholar program with their supervisor’s permission.
The BHSU Employee Scholar program can be combined with an existing state Employee Reduced Tuition program that reduces the cost of classes by 50%. Online classes are not included in the reduced tuition program.
“The BHSU Employee Scholar program offers professional and personal development opportunities for you at your workplace with access to a variety of classes taught by incredible professors,” President Dr. Tom Jackson, Jr., says, “I encourage you to take part in this new program.”
Application/registration/payment is a three-step process:
- Apply using this BHSU Undergraduate Admissions Application and deliver paper application to BHSU Admissions Office. Non-degree seeking students are not charged the $20 application fee.
- Fill out this DocuSign registration form. (If you don't have access to DocuSign, email us.)
- Pay tuition at the Cashier’s window after your registration is entered by Records Office staff.
