She graduated in 1930 and is 103 years old! When I came to college at BHSU, I wish I would have known: There is already money on my Buzz Card for certain things around campus. Where do you do your best studying? I have to really concentrate on my studies to get good grades. Skiing, boating, snowboarding, camping, rock climbing, fishing, plus many other things are all things I can do right here in the Black Hills. Biggest surprise about BHSU: I was really surprised at how much everyone here cares about me. My professors and the other students I have met have really made me feel welcome and at home. Everyone on campus makes an effort to get to know each other and they are so friendly! I have been inspired the most by: My family, they are always pushing me to be better than yesterday. They want me to be successful and happy. It has been great so far and we have big plans for next year! It may be smaller than some schools but that is an advantage that allows for more personal relationships with people on campus and Spearfish. My biggest guilty pleasure: I love to enjoy giant tubs of Dubble Bubble bubblegum! My favorite thing about living in Spearfish and the Black Hills: Everything is so close here! There is so much to do both indoors and outdoors! It is also quiet and I’m not distracted by television or others. My idea of a perfect day: A whole day of shopping! I could spend all day shopping for clothes and shoes. Someday I would like to work at: The FBI. The best professor I have had: Dr. Awbrey, he is funny and always makes me laugh in his class. I really like and learn a lot from his lectures. When I came to college, I wish I would have known: How much more time it takes than high school.
