<description>Hometown: Aladdin, WY
Major: Business Administration-Tourism and Hospitality
Year at BHSU: Freshman
I have been most inspired by: Louise Johnston, she is BHSU’s oldest living alumni. She graduated in 1930 and is 103 years old!
Research discovery I would like to see during my lifetime: A cure for AIDS and cancer
The main reason I came to BHSU was: I have only heard great reviews from friends about their experiences at BHSU and it is close to my family.

<description>Hometown: Alliance, NE
Major: Elementary Education
Year at BHSU: Freshman
The thing I wish more people knew about BHSU: That just because this is referred to as a small campus with small class sizes does not mean that there are not enough people here&amp;#160;to have a great time.
When I came to college at BHSU, I wish I would have known: There is already money on my Buzz Card for certain things around campus.
Where do you do your best studying? I have to really concentrate on my studies to get good grades. So studying alone in my room is the key for me to get everything done.

<description>Hometown: Wall, SD
Major: Outdoor Education
Year at BHSU: Freshman
My favorite thing about living in Spearfish and the Black Hills: It is close to so many different activities. Skiing, boating, snowboarding, camping, rock climbing, fishing, plus many other things are all things I can do right here in the Black Hills.
Biggest surprise about BHSU: I was really surprised at how much everyone here cares about me. My professors and the other students I have met have really made me feel welcome and at home. Everyone on campus makes an effort to get to know each other and they are so friendly!
I have been inspired the most by: My family, they are always pushing me to be better than yesterday. They want me to be successful and happy.
Someday I would like to work at: A lodge or resort that offers a variety of guided activities

<description>Hometown: Alexandria, SD
Major: Psychology
Year at BHSU: Freshman
Clubs and Organizations I have joined at BHSU: Newman Club, Campus Ventures, Cheerleading, Residence Hall Association, Jacket Volunteers, Shutter Buzz Photography Club, Student Senate, Yellow Jacket Delegates
Favorite BHSU moment: I was part of starting a new cheer squad at BHSU. It has been great so far and we have big plans for next year!
My favorite thing about living in Spearfish and the Black Hills: I come from a small town in South Dakota and while Spearfish is a much larger town, it still has that small town feeling that I am used to and really like living in.

Year at BHSU: Freshman
I wish more people knew that BHSU: Has so much to offer on campus and as a community as well. It may be smaller than some schools but that is an advantage that allows for more personal relationships with people on campus and Spearfish.
My biggest guilty pleasure: I love to enjoy giant tubs of Dubble Bubble bubblegum!
My favorite thing about living in Spearfish and the Black Hills: Everything is so close here! There is so much to do both indoors and outdoors!
I am most proud of: My very first print in my Basic Photography class.

<description>Hometown: Rapid City, SD
Major: Psychology
Year at BHSU: Sophomore
I do my best studying:&amp;#160;In the library, that is where the coffee is! It is also quiet and I’m not distracted by television or others.
My idea of a perfect day: A whole day of shopping! I could spend all day shopping for clothes and shoes.
Someday I would like to work at: The FBI.
The best professor I have had: Dr. Awbrey, he is funny and always makes me laugh in his class. I really like and learn a lot from his lectures.
When I came to college, I wish I would have known: How much more time it takes than high school. Homework takes more time to finish, and overall it is harder than high school.
