<title>How to Insert an Image</title>
<link>http://www.bhsu.edu/FacultyStaff/MarketingandCommunications/TrainingVideos/tabid/4277/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/2768/How-to-Insert-an-Image.aspx</link>
<description>This tutorial will discuss how to insert an image. If you are having difficulties or need any further clarification, please contact WebTraining@bhsu.edu&amp;#160;for assistance. Below you will find the written instructions, a printable file for your convenience and you can watch a short video as well.&amp;#160;
First confirm that you are logged in, on the the page that you will be placing your photo, and in the Edit Content mode of the module you wish to have the picture inserted in.

    Click your cursor in the content area where you want the picture to be placed.

    &amp;#160;
    Click on the Insert Picture icon (looks like a landscape with a sun).
    &amp;#160;
    On the Image Properties window click Browse Server.

    &amp;#160;
    On the Image Gallery window, navigate through your folders to the location of the picture you wish to insert.

    NOTE: If you go into the wrong folder, you can return to the previous folder by clicking Go Up folder.

    &amp;#160;
    If the picture is not yet uploaded to the server (i.e. it is still on your computer), navigate to the folder where you wish this picture to be stored. Make sure the picture you are going to insert is web quality.
    &amp;#160;
    After you have selected the picture, you will automatically be taken back to the Image Properties window. You can see your picture in the preview box.

    Type in the Alternative Text. This is the text that will show up if someone hovers over the image, and it is the text that a screen-reader or search engine will see. Alternative text can include a brief description of the photo, a summary of the text contained in the graphic, or a summary of the photo in context to the text that surrounds it.
    In the Align field, select Left or Right. This brings the text around the photo and aligns the photo either left or right depending on your preference.
    To hyperlink a picture to another web page, click the Link tab and insert the hyperlink in the URL field. (For more information on this step, see the Hyperlinking an Image Tutorial)
    Click OK.
    You will see the picture inserted into the module.

<title>How to Add an Existing Module</title>
<link>http://www.bhsu.edu/FacultyStaff/MarketingandCommunications/TrainingVideos/tabid/4277/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/2766/How-to-Add-an-Existing-Module.aspx</link>
<description>This article will explain how to add an existing module. These instructions are for administrative&amp;#160;and&amp;#160;page editors. If you are having difficulties or need any further clarification, please contact WebTraining@bhsu.edu for assistance. Below you will find the written instructions, a printable file for your convenience and you can watch a short video as well.
Adding an Existing Module can save you time both in the present and future. Use the Add Existing Module option, when there is content you would like on multiple pages, but would only like to change it once. Using this process of adding an existing module, you can change one module and the changes will be reflected in all of the modules. Let’s learn how to add an existing module.

    Navigate to the page where you would like to add the module.
    NOTE: For this demonstration, I am going to add an existing module to my STF Projects page and its title will be Banner. It is best to have all your module settings established prior to adding an existing module as those changes will not be reflected on the additional modules.
    Confirm you are in edit mode.
    In the Add Module area, select the Add Existing Module radio button.
    NOTE: After selecting this option, you will see that your options will change from Module and Title as the first two options in the left column, to Page and Module.
    In the Page: field, select the page from which you want to add the module.

    In the Module: field, select the module you would like to add.
    NOTE: It is important that the module you want to add has a title you will be able to recognize and easily identify. If you did not give the module a title, there will be a blank spot or it will have a default title in the drop down menu making it difficult to know what to select.
    In the Pane: field, select which pane you would like the module to be placed.
    NOTE: You can add an existing module anywhere on a new page, it doesn’t have to be in the same place. For this example, I want to put my banner in the same location, in the top pane.

    Click Add Module to Page to add the existing module.
    You will then see the module on your page where you added it.

<title>How to Hyperlink an Image</title>
<link>http://www.bhsu.edu/FacultyStaff/MarketingandCommunications/TrainingVideos/tabid/4277/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/2765/How-to-Hyperlink-an-Image.aspx</link>
<description>In this article, we will be talking about how to hyperlink an image. If you are having difficulties or need any further clarification, please contact WebTraining@bhsu.edu&amp;#160;for assistance. Below you will find the written instructions, a printable file for your convenience and you can watch a short video as well.
Linking images can be very helpful for your audience. This can help them navigate through your webpage and make it much more user-friendly. To start the process, make sure you are logged in.

    First, navigate to the module that contains the image you wish to hyperlink and click on, Edit Content.

    NOTE: Check out the Inserting a Picture Tutorial if you need more information on inserting a picture.
    &amp;#160;
    The edit content page will come up and the next step is to either
    (a.) Right click on the image you wish to hyperlink and select Image Properties
    &amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
    or (b.) Select the image and then click the Insert/Edit Image icon in the navigation bar.

    &amp;#160;
    This will bring up the Image Properties window. Click on the Link tab.

    Select the URL radio button, then in the URL: field, you may type in or paste in a web address.
    NOTE: Additional options include linking to a file, or to a page on your site. For example, I linked this image to my Art Gallery. To do this, select the radio button Page ( A Page on Your Site ). Then in URL: dropdown menu, select the desired page.

    &amp;#160;
    Click Use selected link in the bottom left corner of the Link Gallery window.
    On the Image Properties window, a blue border around the picture in your preview window will appear. This is a quick way to know that you have successfully hyperlinked the image. This blue border will not appear on the actual page.

    Important Things to Remember:

        Enter Alternative Text if it is not already there.
        This is important for screen readers and search engines and will show up when a user hovers over the image. When you have hyperlinked an image, this can be especially important to let them know it is hyperlinked. For example, I am going to enter “Click here to see my Art Gallery”.
        Under the Link tab, there is a dropdown menu labeled Target. It is important to select New Window when you are sending a user somewhere other than your website you are currently on. For example, if I wanted to send a user to www.cnn.com, I would want to use New Window so they can see the link in a window that pops up and continue to follow along on my webpage.

    Click OK on the Image Properties window.
    Click Save.

Do you want to print out the instructions? Download the printable version of How to Hyperlink an Image.

<title>How to Edit Basic Module Settings</title>
<link>http://www.bhsu.edu/FacultyStaff/MarketingandCommunications/TrainingVideos/tabid/4277/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/2760/How-to-Edit-Basic-Module-Settings.aspx</link>
<description>How to Edit Basic Module Settings

In this article we are going to discuss how to edit basic module settings like changing the module title, view permissions, and turning the display containers on and off. These instructions are focused for page level and administrative editors. If you do not have the ability to add a page, please contact Ryan.Shippy@bhsu.edu for assistance. To begin these instructions, you must be logged into the website where you will be adding the page. Below you will find the written instructions, a printable file for your convenience, and you can watch a video as well.&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;To change the module title:

1. Begin by selecting the Module Settings icon located at the bottom of the module.

2. On the Module Settings window, you can change the module title. Locate the Module Title: field in the Basic Settings category, delete the standard text title, and type in your new title.

3. To complete the changes, select Update, located at the bottom of the page.

To change view permissions:

If you would like to change the view permissions of a module, this can also be done from the Module Settings page (see Step 1). You may want to change the view permissions when you are editing a module and do not want it visible or when you are finished working on a module and want it to be seen by viewers. There are two permission options: View Module and Edit Module. The View permissions allow select viewers to see the content and the Edit permissions allow select users to edit the module. Be careful: Do not turn off your own view permissions or you will not be able to see the module you are trying to edit.

4. In the Module Settings (see Step 1), the Permissions: field is also located in the Basic Settings category. Sometimes the settings will be locked, as shown by the lock icons. To unlock the settings, uncheck the box that reads Inherit View permissions from Page.

5. Once the permissions are unlocked a series of boxes will appear. Select the box or boxes you want to change and a white check mark inside a green circle will appear. If you check the box again a red hexagon with a white X will appear. Although it may appear to deny the permission, it does not and should not be used. Check the box again and it will disappear. A blank box means that a user is denied that permission.
NOTE:
Administrators will always remain locked. All users refers to the general public. Do not worry about Registered users or Subscribers as they do not exist for our purposes. Generally, you will only be concerned with All users, your own user name, and/or possibly any users you may have added (if you have that permission).&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp;6. To complete the changes, select Update, located at the bottom of the page.
&amp;nbsp;
Turning containers on and off:

If you do not want a title for your module and you want the text to appear flush with the top of the module, you can turn off the display container. The text in the module will remain visible.

7. To turn off the display container, go to the Module Settings (see Step 1) and locate the Page Settings category.

8. Maximize the Page Settings category to see all the options. Under the sub-category of Basic Settings, locate the Display Container? field.

9. Select the check mark to reveal a blank box. The display container is now off.

10. To complete the changes, click Update, located at the bottom of the page.

<title>How to Change Your Password</title>
<link>http://www.bhsu.edu/FacultyStaff/MarketingandCommunications/TrainingVideos/tabid/4277/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/2759/How-to-Change-Your-Password.aspx</link>
<description>In this article, we will be talking about how to change your password. If you are having difficulties or need any further clarification, please contact WebTraining@bhsu.edu&amp;#160;for assistance. You may also contact us through this address if you need your password reset or have forgotten your username. Below you will find the written instructions, a printable file for your convenience and you can watch a short video as well.
When you initially receive your username, it is usually quite long and cumbersome. Changing your password to something you will remember is important so that you can maintain accessibility to your page.

    First, navigate to the page you wish to log into.
    Log in as you normally would. If this is your first time logging in, you should have received an email with your password. (If you need more information on logging in, see the How to Login and Logout Tutorial).
    Go to the bottom right hand corner where you logged in and you will see your name between the date and the logout button. Click on your name.

    &amp;#160;
    You will be directed to the Manage Profile page. This is where you can change information about your profile, in this case your password. To change your password, click the Manage Password link (two from the left at the top).

    &amp;#160;
    Then you will see three boxes: One to enter your current password, one to enter your new password and a box to re-enter and confirm your password. You may either type in your current password or you can copy it from the email you should have received when you were given a login for your website.
    NOTE: Your password must be at least 7 characters long.

    &amp;#160;
    Click Change Password.
    If you see the green checkmark at the top that says, The password has been reset, you changed your password successfully. If you see a red X, re-enter your old and new passwords and try again. Make sure your password is at least 7 characters long.

    If you still are unable to get your password changed, contact us at WebTraining@bhsu.edu.
    &amp;#160;
    Now you can use your new, and easier to remember, password to login.

Do you want to print out the instructions? Download the printable version of How to Change your Password.
