<description>The 15th annual Island in the Plains: Black Hills Archaeological and Historical Symposium will be Saturday, May 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Spruce Room of the Spearfish Holiday Inn. Throughout the day regional anthropologists, archaeologists and historians will present papers about current research, findings, and trends as they relate to the Black Hills. The day will conclude with a banquet and a presentation by Dr. Larry Agendbroad entitled “Revisiting the Hudson-Meng Site, Northwest Nebraska: Bison Kill or Natural Death.”</description>
