The half marathon serves as a qualifier for the 2010 NAIA Marathon which will be run at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships next May in Marion, IN. Six of the seven runners were under the qualifying times of 1:14:00 and 1:33:00 respectively for the men and women. Young Center Field House. The BHSU Winter Open was not a scored meet, so no team scores were entered. Black Hills State recorded wins in several events.  Cody Milbourn took the women’s weight throw with a toss of 15.07m. Lisa Koch notched a victory in the women’s pole vault with a vault of 11’7”. Hayden Bales snatched a high flying victory in the men’s pole vault with a vault of 14’00”. Cole Nicholas won the men’s weight throw with a heave of 15.68m. Black Hills State University women also picked up a victory in the women’s 4x400 relay.
