Attendance is calculated by a formula which considers tons of garbage hauled during Rally, vendor licenses issued, SD sales tax collected, motorcycle counts at Mount Rushmore, and DOT traffic counts. However, all numbers in Sturgis pointed to a recovery for the Sturgis Rally. The weather was sunny and fine and it was a great Rally.
