Roland Dolly, ’77

Dolly served as the state’s commissioner of economic development prior to his untimely death April 19, 1993, in a plane crash near Dubuque, Iowa. Previously, Dolly worked for Sen. James Abdnor where he assisted with agricultural and water development issues and was a chief assistant in the U.S. Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation under the Reagan administration. The award will be given posthumously to his wife, Lane.
